En segundo lugar quedó Eddie Van Halen, con el instrumental “Eruption”, del disco debut homónimo de Van Halen, de 1978. El tercer casillero fue para Jimi Hendrix y su cover de “All Along The Watchtower”, de Bob Dylan.
Hendrix aparece en la lista cuatro veces -más que cualquier otro guitarrista-, y Eric Clapton tres, con sus trabajos con Cream, Derek & The Dominoes y The Beatles. Por su parte, Eddie Van Halen figura también en el número 50, con el solo de guitarra en “Beat It”, de Michael Jackson.
